1.1 Review yesterday's dialogue: Day 003
1) Practice conversation in English & Korean.
A: What is the weather gonna be like this Saturday?
이번 주 토요일 날씨가 어떤 것 같아?
The weather reporter said that it might rain.
일기예보에서 비가 올 거라고 했어.
I get the feeling that we should call off our trip.
여행을 취소해야 할 것 같은 느낌이 들어.
Oh, it totally slipped my mind.
이런! 깜빡 잊고 있었네.
Don't tell me you were going to go alone behind my back.
설마 나 몰래 혼자 가려고 했던 건 아니겠지.
No way! I'll just go with the flow.
말도 안돼. 난 그냥 대세를 따를거야.
2) Switch roles.
3) HK will say a sentence in English. Sanchita will say the same sentence in Korean.
4) HK will say a word in English. Sanchita will say the same sentence in Korean.
5) Practice conversation in Korean ONLY.
가: 이번 주 토요일 날씨가 어떤 것 같아?
나: 일기예보에서 비가 올 거라고 했어.
가: 여행을 취소해야 할 것 같은 느낌이 들어.
나: 이런! 깜빡 잊고 있었네.
가: 설마 나 몰래 혼자 가려고 했던 건 아니겠지.
나: 말도 안돼. 난 그냥 대세를 따를거야.
1.2 Today's dialogue
1) Practice conversation in English & Korean.
A: I feel like going out with you tonight.
오늘 밤에 너랑 놀러가고 싶어.
B: I'm sorry, but I have a previous engagement (other plans).
미안한데 난 선약이 있어.
A: Nothing beats beer with chicken on a hot day.
이렇게 더운 날엔 치맥보다 나은게 없지.
B: Come to think of it, I can't miss a drinking session.
생각해보니, 내가 술자리를 놓치면 안되지.
A: That's it! You might as well cancel your appointment!
바로 그거야. 너 약속 취소 하는 게 낮겠다.
B: I'm gonna have to postpone it for another day.
약속을 다른 날짜로 옮겨야겠어.

가: 바로 그거야. 너 약속 취소 하는 게 낮겠다.
나: 약속을 다른 날짜로 옮겨야겠어.
2. Free talking.
My learnings:
New words/ expressions
-대세를 따를거야= just follow
-선약= previous engagement
-약속= promise/ other plans
-낮겠다= it will be better/ might as well
-옮겨야 겠어= postpone
Date 하고 싶어/ date 갈레/ 놀러갈에
나랑 date 할레?

During the pre-talking session, we can also prepare and proceed with special topics. Or random questions and answers are fine. For example, what you studied today, or what you learned before. The key is to practice what we want to express in a target language.
