1. Script reading
1.1 Review yesterday's dialogue: Day 012
A: I'd like to put my car on the market.
네 차를 시장에 내놓으려고 해.
B: Are you sure? What's the deal?
정말이야? 대체 무슨 일인데?
A: We don't need two cars anymore.
더 이상 자동차가 두 대나 필요 없잖아.
B: What if you have the car, and I have to go shopping?
당신이 차를 쓰고 있는데 내가 쇼핑 가야 하면 어떡해?
A: We need to cut back on shopping.
우린 쇼핑을 좀 줄여야 해.
B: Honey, I think you should just calm just a little bit.
자기야, 당신 잠시 진정 좀 해야 할 것 같아.
2) Switch roles.
3) HK will say a sentence in English. Sanchita will say the same sentence in Korean.
4) HK will say a word in English. Sanchita will say the same sentence in Korean.
5) Practice conversation in Korean ONLY.
가: 네 차를 시장에 내놓으려고 해.
나: 정말이야? 대체 무슨 일인데?
가: 더 이상 자동차가 두 대나 필요 없잖아.
나: 당신이 차를 쓰고 있는데 내가 쇼핑 가야 하면 어떡해?
가: 우린 쇼핑을 좀 줄여야 해.
나: 자기야, 당신 잠시 진정 좀 해야 할 것 같아.
1.2 Today's dialogue: Day 013- Don't tell me what to do (잔소리 그만해)
1) Practice conversation in English & Korean.
A: I'm gonna have my friend come over tonight.
오늘 밤에 친구를 집에 초대하려고요.
B: What's the occasion? Is he a friend from school?
무슨 일인데? 학교 친구니?
A: Yes, he's my good friend. We have a lot in common.
네, 정말 좋은 친구예요. 우린 공통점이 참 많아요.
B: You can't tell me something like this on such short notice.
그런 일을 그렇게 갑자기 얘기하면 안 되지.
A: Mom, please don't tell me what to do.
엄마, 제발 잔소리 좀 하지 마세요.
B: He's not coming over. Over my dead body!
친구는 못 와. 절대로 안돼!
